Green Day is still killing it

I'm a MCR fan since their debut, I didn't like very much The Black Parade album and era at that time, much more since then, and the same thing with Danger days era. For sure I was much more into the two first records album. But when I first heard The foundation of decay, it was like I was a teenager again, like this song is a song I already knew and used to vibe on even if it was a brand new, this is the feelings that I get from it. For this moment it is like my MCR favourite title. I really hope if there is a new album, the songs of it are according to this one. It would be so dope. Can't wait for it.

Everyone hates on Machine gun Kelly, but he is one of the main reasons that pop punk had a mainstream revival and is the reason I listen to pop punk now. Tickets to my downfall is one of the best pop punk albums in years. He needs more respect

It’s a good point that the Emo scene embraces the different sound. The first time I was introduced to them I was given a mix CD. The other kid said track 16 is the twinkle one I like by American football. The other half of the CD? Planes Mistaken for Stars. I also saw Owen (Mike Kinsella solo project) in a show with planes mistaken for stars, from autumn to ashes, and Thursday). It was completely normal.

Folie à Duex probably has to be my favorite FOB album, and while Water Buffaloes is incredible I’m more partial to What A Catch, Donnie Something about the ballad nature of it and the ending having the feint lines from other FOB songs sung by other bands was so good It almost feels like a farewell song with the context that it was the last album before the hiatus

So many bands have just been overshadowed: No use for a name Lagwagon Strung out MxPx Gob NOFX Pulley All those band had something to do with the 2000s bands yall know and love

thank you sm for making this! One of my favorite bands ever. Its inspiring to see how sincere and passionate they were with their music and how sincere they seemed in interviews. I met Ned recently cause of Glitterer touring and even though I was way too nervous to say alot he still treated me with respect. They all seem like such genuine people.

Green Day always get linked up with pop punk but to me they never fit in with all bands and sounds nothing like them musically

Pop punk isn’t really for me, I prefer hardcore punk bands like minor threat, black flag, bad brains, and along with other punk bands like crass, subhumans, Sex Pistols, and misfits, punk was a movement, at its core the genre is anti establishment, anti fascism, anti authority, and individuality, that’s everything that pop punk is not, it’s supposed to have bad song mixing to be anti corrupt music, they went against the polished music that was being made, I’m not saying that pop punk isn’t punk, I know that pop punk is a sub genre of punk, but again, it’s not what punk music use to be

I love danger days 🤷‍♂️

My Chem's pop punk album was Three Cheers. their only emo album was Bullets. Black Parade is arena rock....Danger Days is glam rock.

The Fireside Bowl was the venue, since 1994 was basically a garden of musical divesity with shows intentionally booked with bands that should never have, and today would never play with each other. Just Google Fireside Bowl fliers and look at any other the fliers lets see...
